The 8000 square foot workshop means the workforce of fully qualified technicians and mechanics have room to carry out their repairs using state of the art technology. We are a Dupont 5 star repairer ,using Eco friendly waterborne paint materials, carrying manufacturers approval for warranty retention and finish, state of the art temperature controlled enclosed spray booths, provide the perfect environment to produce the high standard of vehicle refinishing expected by today’s industry standards. The spray booths of 8meters in length cater for the smallest saloon to the largest commercial panel van, and are unique to the area. A further service to the accident repair centre is the provision of courtesy cars and vans, providing continuity to customer busy lifestyles whilst their vehicle is being repaired.
 Accident repair estimates are worked out using ‘AudaEnterprise’- a computerised estimating system based on strict industry standards and guidelines.Estimates can be sent to insurance companies or emailed or posted to customers and all preliminary costings are sent with images of the actual damage when the vehicle arrives,clearly illustrating the repair job that needs doing. P.D.Stevens is one of the few accident repairers to operate the CAR-O-Liner jig system.This enables the straightening/replacing of vehicle accident damaged chassis,to the original manufacturers specifications.
One of the latest intermediate jig systems that will cope with the smallest car,4x4 or largest jumbo panel van including the new 4.75 meter Mercedes Sprinter. The system has the stability of a bracket system whilst combining the flexibility of a measuring system.
Car -O-Tronic Classic (Computerized Measuring System) An important addition to our workshop facilities is the Car-O-Tronic Classic computerized measuring system supporting the entire repair process from initial damage analysis and assessment to final checks and documentation. The system is backed by the world’s largest vehicle database and is fully compatible with our jig alignment system. A photo based measuring system,actual vehicle photos allow us to precisely and quickly target the correct measuring points,damage areas can be measured at any time during the repair process, the reference points to be measured being displayed graphically on the computer screen during the repair. Finally ,a print-out can be produced certifying that the vehicle is accurately repaired available to the insurance companies and individual customer.
